Herrin Animal Hospital Achieves Accreditation

Herrin Animal Hospital has again achieved the highest level of veterinary excellence following an extensive evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

Herrin Animal Hospital renewed its AAHA accreditation after a rigorous review of the hospital’s practice protocols, medical equipment, facilities and customer service.

Unlike human hospitals, animal hospitals are not required to be accredited. AAHA-accredited hospitals are the only hospitals that choose to be evaluated on approximately 900 quality standards that go beyond basic state regulations, ranging from patient care and pain management to staff training. personnel and advanced diagnostic services.

“AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized as some of the best in the industry and are consistently at the forefront of cutting-edge veterinary medicine,” said Dr. Brent Herrin, owner/veterinarian of Herrin Animal Hospital. “AAHA standards are continually reviewed and updated to keep accredited practices at the forefront of veterinary excellence. At accredited practices, pet owners can expect to receive the highest quality care from well-trained professional veterinary teams.

“Only the best small animal hospitals in the United States and Canada have achieved Association accreditation. To maintain its accredited status, Herrin Animal Hospital must continue to be evaluated regularly by the AAHA.

Herrin Animal Hospital has been serving Cassville and surrounding areas since 1996 and has been an AAHA accredited hospital since 2001.

“It’s very important to my staff and I that we maintain high standards of care, and the AAHA helps us achieve that,” Herrin said. “We use the evaluation process as a learning tool.”
