Houston’s New Party Space Is Transforming Into An Animal-Friendly Wonderland – Starshine Texas Rises

What: Citizens for the Protection of Animals‘s Annual “Mr. Magoo’s Birthday Party”

Where: Starshine Texas, Houston’s Newest Event Space Spread Over 25 Acres

PC time: The Citizens for Animal Protection party’s luau theme meant that guests were asked to dress in Hawaiian fashion and all received leis as they entered Starshine Texas, a new party palace in northeast Houston. Frozen daiquiris create even more of the tropical vibe.

Annual Midsummer Party Raised $100,000, Good News for Chairs Bruce Padilla, Shelby Kibodeaux, Nikki Richmond and Sonia Sotoand honorary president Sandi Mercado, Executive Director of Citizen Animal Protection. The funds will help the organization in its mission to provide shelter, rescues and placements for homeless animals.

Citizen for Anima Protection programs and services include Shelter and Care, Pet Adoption, Spaying and Neutering, Pet Care Counseling, Lost and Found, Pet Program feral cat assistance, pets for the elderly, humane education and even a pet supply store.
