Latest news on water supply problems in Nottinghamshire

The problem with the water supply in Huthwaite has now been resolved and the network is recharging, according to Severn Trent Water.

A spokesperson said:

“We are now building stores in our distribution tanks over the next twenty-four hours and asking customers to be careful with water usage while we do this.

“As a precaution, all properties that were without a supply at 3 a.m. were to receive a delivery of bottled water between 4:30 and 7:00 a.m. As a result, approximately 300 customers will have received or are expected to receive a delivery of bottled water to their doorstep. As an added precaution, a bottled water station has also been arranged to open at 7:00 a.m. at Tesco Express Huthwaite.
