After seven long years of witnessing each cookie swap, sometimes winning awards but never reaching the grand prize, Sarah Ohls finally met her fate last night.
Ohls submitted an Orange Cheesecake Spice Cookie which the judges found beautiful, tasty and original. This unofficial taster found a very balanced and not too sweet blend of orange and spice in a chewy, good-sized cookie, with a creamy orange filling. Delicious!
The other winners were:
Finalist for best show:
Best Taste Finalist:
Finalist for the best appearance
The most original:
Finalist to the most original

You are so awesome to help us with the giveaways and subscription for this event. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and that of our competitors, we have raised a significant amount of money, which will be shared between a local resident who was affected by Hurricane Ida Flood and Rolling Harvest, a fabulous local charity that helps to deliver farm products to food insecure residents.
Thanks to our judges, who bravely ate 26 cookies in two hours and made the grueling distinctions between what was best in the four categories! They are: Donald Ade, Mayor of the Township of Hopewell, Julie Blake, Gabby Carbone and Matt Errico of Bent Spoon, Joanne Canady-Brown and Shanara of Gingered Peach, Mike Ellery and Anne Nixon-Ellery of Glenmoore Farm, Dr. Rosetta Treece , Alex Treece and Heather Scott of Heather’s Pet Care.
Last but not least, thank you to our tireless assistants, Lisa Wolff, Paul Kinney, Dawn Cook, Anita Williams, Alicia Galiano, Ron Rukenstein and Sheila Reynartson, who made us laugh and helped make things work even though it’s a a little crazy !
Renata and Amie have already had an in-depth discussion this morning about what we are planning for next year. It’s going to be awesome!
Happy Holidays everyone – from Renata, Amie and Mary
