Street Dog Hero Hosts Wellness and Vaccination Clinic for 86 Animals in Warm Springs


BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Street Dog Hero, a Bend-based nonprofit animal welfare organization, has teamed up with central Oregon veterinarians Dr. Cierra Buer and Dr. Tabitha Johnson, along with to Fences For Fido, Warm Springs Fire and Safety, and volunteers from across Oregon to host a Wellness and Immunization Clinic in Warm Springs on Saturday, August 13.

This clinic provided free physical exams, vaccinations, flea and tick medication, treatment for minor injuries and infections (such as cheat grass), and prescription medication to 86 dogs and cats owned by members of the Warm Springs community.

On the same day, Fences for Fido organized a pet food bank – providing free food to pets in the community – and Street Dog Hero took in 15 abandoned puppies and dogs, including a nursing dog and her puppies.
