- I wanted to have some outdoor fun at a summer camp, but I’m too old for forced dining or group activities.
- I found exactly that in Ojo Santa Fe New Mexico with swimming, hiking, archery and more.
- The whole stay was fun but also relaxing with a spa, mineral baths and my casita with a fireplace.
After a year and a half of feeling locked inside in the midst of the pandemic, I couldn’t wait to get out. I wanted wide open spaces, fresh air and invigorating activities.
What I wanted were the summer camps I went to as a kid. While there are adult summer camps, it seemed like everyone was destined to drink a day at 20 and something the idea of having fun about was a three-legged run followed by a frenzied meal in the town. dining room.
Being well north of that age, I knew I needed more privacy, high thread count sheets, and the ability to choose my activities.
I decided to design my own adult summer camp in Ojo Santa Fe, New Mexico, where camp-inspired activities like swimming, archery, hiking, and animal interactions were everything. included alongside a spa, mineral baths and a restaurant.
Designing my own summer camp has been a great experience and one that I would happily repeat throughout the year.
