The first holiday kick-off shopping and craft fair event will take place on Saturday, November 6 at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course, 8600 Country Club Drive, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Activities and attractions will include a cocoa bar, a mimosa bar, a bake sale, a variety of local artisans, a basket raffle as well as opportunities for children to write letters to Santa Claus. . There will also be boxes for a toy drive, canned food drive, and pet supply drive. For each donated item, individuals will receive a basket raffle ticket.
The money raised from the sale of cocoa bars and pastries will be donated to Rome Health. The Rome Twigs will take care of these tables and also have information about the volunteer opportunities they have as well as upcoming events.
Representatives from the Rome Fit Body Bootcamp will also be at the event to talk about health and fitness, and their efforts to help community members regain strength and health over the past two years. They will also have information on the company’s upcoming program for people 55 and older.
Event organizers say the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course site was chosen to help publicize its banquet hall, which is available to host a wide variety of events.
The event is hosted by Keynote Candles to celebrate its first year in business and its desire to give back to the community.
