Thieves get away with a shopping cart of luxury goods from Auckland’s DFS Galleria

Brazen thieves have fled with a shopping cart full of luxury goods from the DFS Galleria in downtown Auckland in a smashing robbery.

Police confirmed they received a burglary report on Customs St West at around 11.25pm ​​last night.

Video of the burglary shows a group of people climbing over a broken window on the street front of the store.

A person can be seen running with a shopping cart overflowing with designer clothes.

Another person can be seen jumping out of the shattered window and quickly picking up more clothes strewn on the sidewalk, fleeing the scene.

A police spokesman said the group left in a vehicle.

“Police carried out inquiries in the area but were unable to locate the vehicle. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.”

The burglary comes after Louis Vuitton and Gucci stores were targeted just around the corner on Queen Street last month.

Police were called after reports that a vehicle rammed the two stores in a suspected burglary.
