Veterinary Hospital proposed for Woolgoolga Pizza Place – News from the area

A PROPOSAL to turn Woolgoolga Pizza Place into a veterinary hospital was recently filed with Coffs Harbor City Council.

The request for the development of a project of change of use in veterinary hospital and of internal modifications and additions was filed on June 2 by the veterinary clinic Woolgoolga (King Kookaburra Pty Ltd).

The conversion work is estimated at $ 138,000.

The Woolgoolga Veterinary Clinic currently operates at 4 Market Street, Woolgoolga, in the central business district.

Existing landowners are looking to change the location of their operations to Beach Street, Woolgoolga, while continuing to provide service to the local area.

The proposed new veterinary hospital will include a kennel, cat room, surgery room, treatment room, two consultation rooms, waiting room, staff room and reception area and will be located at 23 Beach Street, Woolgoolga.

Services offered at the new site include vaccinations and pest control, pet checkups, dental checkups, routine deexting and surgery, tick treatment and prevention, high quality dietary advice , home pathology, ultrasound and radiography.

It is proposed that the veterinary hospital will employ two veterinarians, two veterinary nurses and two auxiliaries and operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.

The current use of the site as a take-out cafe / shop was initially approved by the Council in 1998.
