Anniversary for traveling library

The Gustine itinerant library will celebrate its fifth anniversary on Friday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Customers can join the Gustine traveling library team and their partners to celebrate Gustine’s fifth birthday.

The event will look at the past five years and the work the team has done in California and beyond to spread literacy while helping other communities.

There will be food, drink and entertainment for the whole family.

Breast Cancer Fundraiser

The Newman Police Department sells a limited number of pink police badges to support breast cancer foundations.

These patches are available in the police department lobby during office hours and cost $ 10 each, cash only.

Low cost veterinary clinic

The Newman Alternative to Euthanasia is hosting a low cost 5 to 7 p.m. veterinary clinic on October 21 at Pioneer Park on Fresno Street and R.

Vouchers will be available at the clinic and will include vaccines, including rabies, a microchip, a license, and a sterilization or sterilization voucher. The vouchers for dogs will be $ 150 and $ 75 for cats. If you buy a voucher, do not bring a pet.
